O Grupo de Escoteiros de Góis vem por este meio convidar toda a população estrangeira a participar numa actividade mundial que se irá realizar em Góis…
Nos dias 17, 18 e 19 de Outubro os escoteiros de Góis poderão conversar via Rádio amador ou via internet com todos os escoteiros do Mundo.
Gostaríamos que esta actividade também fosse um espaço para toda a comunidade internacional a viver em Góis.
Os contactos realizados são sempre feitos pelos escoteiros de Góis mas Você poderá ajudar-nos e muito porque na maior parte das vezes temos que responder em inglês ou noutra língua que as nossas crianças e jovens não conseguem comunicar.
Assim, fica feito este convite para que apareçam em Vale Moreiro na Casa de Convívio para os contactos via Internet ou na Sra. da Guia para os contactos via Rádio Amador.
Na realidade, apesar das diferentes línguas somos um só mundo e por isso mesmo gostaríamos que tivesse connosco.

What is the Jamboree-On-The-Air?
The JOTA is an annual event in which about half-a-million Scouts and Guides all over the world
make contacts with each other by means of amateur radio. Short-wave radio signals carry their
voices to virtually any corner of the world. It's the shear excitement of having a live conversation
with a fellow Scout or Guide at some other place in the world that attracts so many young people
to this event. JOTA is a true Jamboree during which Scouting experiences are exchanged and ideas
are shared. It’s a unique opportunity for each individual Scout to get the real feeling of belonging
to a worldwide movement.
What is the Jamboree-On-The-Internet?
Similarly to the JOTA, the Jamboree-On-The-Internet connects Scouts using Internet techniques.
The JOTI is a separate event, but held on the same weekend as the Jamboree-On-the-Air. Units can
choose to take part in either one, or both events.
The JOTA and JOTI are worldwide events. During the weekend, units may normally participate for
48 hours or any part thereof, from Saturday 00:00 h until Sunday 24:00 h local time.
Both JOTA and JOTI are WOSM events to which members of the World Association of Girl Guides
and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) are kindly invited to take part and enjoy the international atmosphere
together with the Scouts.

História - O Jamboree Mundial Escoteiro na Internet (JOTI) é um encontro mundial de escoteiros na internet, que ocorre anualmente no terceiro fim de semana de outubro. Este é um evento oficial da Organização Mundial do Escotismo (WOSM).Durante este fim de semana, milhares de escoteiros de todos os cantos do mundo, se encontram para "bater um papo" e trocarem experiencias através da internet, usando todos os recursos tecnológicos disponiveis na localidade, desde navegadores de internet (browsers), e-mails, programas de bate-papo, microfones, scanners e cameras digitais (web-cams). Além disso os grupos escoteiros podem realizar o JOTI juntamente com o Jamboree do ar (JOTA), evento mundial de radio amadores escoteiros.A maior parte dos contatos são feitos por e-mails e uma rede de bate-papo chamado IRC, the Internet Relay Chat. O JOTI facilita o desenvolvimento de novas amizadas com escoteiros pelo mundo a fora, conhecendo pessoas de lugares que nem imaginava que existiam escoteiros, conhecendo mais sobre sua cultura e sobre o escotismo. Na maioria das vezes, essas amizades se consolidam e duram muitos e muitos anos, e em alguns casos se encontrando pessoalmente, em outros eventos como o Jamborees, ou até mesmo viajens de tropa.Desde 1996, JOTI é um evento official da WOSM possuindo um site permanente no site da Organização mundial do Escotismo. BackgroundThe World Scout Jamboree On The Internet (JOTI) is an international Scout Meeting on the Internet which takes places every year on the third weekend of october. This is an official event of the World Organization of the Scout Movement.During that weekend, thousands of Scouts from all over the world meet and communicate with each other over the Internet, using any technologies locally available, from web browsers to e-mail, chat programs, microphones, scanners and digital cameras. Scoutgroups can combine this event with the Jamboree On The Air (JOTA), an event where Scouts can communicate with each other over radio amateur frequencies with the assistance of a local radio amateur crew.Most of the communication takes place over E-mail and in a chat network called IRC, the Internet Relay Chat. JOTI allows you to build friendships with Scouts in other countries and to find out more about their civil and scouting life. Often, these contacts last for years and build the base for upcoming group trips and entreprises.Since 1996, JOTI is an official WOSM event and has a permanent place on the Web Site of the World Scout Bureau.
