The village of Bordeiro

Bordeiro consists of a network of narrow streets and stone houses with their gardens and courtyards. Lemon trees and orange trees grow alongside the buildings.

Bordeiro, like every Portuguese village, has its own distinctive character, and likewise the local home-made wine, which is offered proudly to visitors by the local inhabitants, has its own unique flavour. (Beware however – it is also the local tradition to offer home-made aguadente, a lethal distillation, not for the faint-hearted!)

Bordeiro has a restaurant, café and garage in the village, and is also within easy distance of all the shops and facilities of Gois.
